The first thing that struck me as i read the overview passage today was Paul’s heart of compassion for his spiritually lost peers. I read words like “great sorrow and unceasing anguish” and it really challenges me. Have i ever in my entire life felt that depth of emotion for spiritually lost people? Have i even come close? This will be an interesting thing to study more in depth this week.
The other big thing that I noticed was how it says “God hated”. I’m going to have to think about that some. I guess God can love or hate whatever He wants, can’t He! It’s his prerogative. I’ll look forward to studying that in further detail this week.
